Meet Kara Becker: Your Guide to Integrative Nutrition and Career Develoment
Hi and Welcome!
I am so happy you are here. You may be asking yourself how and why I’ve converged the worlds of integrative nutrition and career development so let me share a bit about myself.
Early in my career, I learned that I wanted to be in a helping profession, I just didn’t feel fulfilled otherwise. After a series of jobs that I really hated, I went back to school to get trained in counseling and coaching where I learned techniques that best support helping others achieve their true potential. I decided to use my skills to work in career development and spent a bulk of my career working with students, recent grads and mid-level professionals succeed in the world of work.
Along the way, I started to notice some issues with my overall health. I was dealing with significant infertility and was considered pre-diabetic based on my lab markers. Building my family was of utmost importance to me and so I immersed myself in the world of health and functional medicine and was astonished to learn how much power we have in shaping our health outcomes, just like we do with our careers.
I was able to reverse many, if not all of my symptoms, and after several painful years of infertility, build my family. In my true passion for helping others, it became incredibly important for me to add health coaching and functional medicine to my skillset, seeking out several training and certification programs to do so.
While my business has two distinct arms, the actual service provided is not that different – we experience the best results when we feel empowered to take matters into our own hands, whether it be our health or our career. With a little bit of education of what to do and coaching in how to make it happen, I help you to be the strongest version of yourself - feeling your absolute healthiest or having the confidence to land the career you desire. We are all multifaceted individuals and cannot look at one area of ourselves in silo, so while helping you explore your health or your career goals, it will also open the doors to a truer understanding of your own big picture.
